First, I would like to say welcome, and thank you for checking out a blog run by a bunch of college students. I know what you’re thinking, “What the hell am I going to gain by reading this?” For the answer to that question, I’d respond, “I don’t know”, but I hope this doesn’t hinder you from reading on and hopefully gaining some insight into the random musings and thoughts of fairly intelligent students (I am in this group, so of course I think highly of myself, as everyone does). What to say, what to say. I am a full-time student, majoring in mathematics. My general areas of interest are theoretical physics, evolutionary biology, philosophy in general, and other minor topics. As I said, I find myself to be a bit intelligent, in that I can put a logical sentence together, use reason when arguing for a position, and defend my position without appealing to ad hominem attacks or using ad hoc reasoning (though this is only a small measure of one’s intelligence). My contributions to this blog will mostly be of a serious, academic manor, though not completely, as some topics can’t be taken seriously. I have been told my approach to certain subjects could come off as abrasive and blunt, to which I respond, “Yes!” By using such a method, I find it much easier to convey my message without appealing to emotions and other petty matters (yes, some topics demand a step-by-step approach, but most to which I will write don’t). All I could possibly say is thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy the posts.
